PREP ANNOUNCEMENTS

CONFIRMATION

The Sacrament of Confirmation will be conferred on our parish seventh graders by Most Rev. John J, McIntyre on Saturday, October 26, during the Eucharistic Liturgy at 10:00 AM.

PREP REGISTRATION

PREP Registration (You need to do this yearly.) is now open & the form is online. If you are registering a child for 1st grade, this is the time to register them for PREP as well. First graders as well as students new to PREP must present a copy of their baptismal certificate. Transfer students also need to present certificates of Reconciliation & Eucharist if applicable, as well as progress reports/report cards.

TUITION

  • $160 for 1 student
  • $260 for 2 students
  • $370 for 3 or more students
  • $25 registration fee which is applied to tuition

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

Your Parish Religious Education Program is seeking volunteers to assist our catechists every Wednesday evening from 6:30- 7:45. Catechetical Assistants handle the classroom clerical tasks: taking attendance; copying, collecting and/distributing materials, etc. Students in grades 8 through 12 are welcome to become assistants. Interested adults must provide all required state and archdiocesan clearances. For additional information or to volunteer, please contact Anne Florian at qofpprep@comast.net.

Safe Environment Information

All Queen of Peace PREP catechists, assistants and volunteers (over the age of 18) must meet all requirements mandated by the Archdiocese in order to volunteer in the PREP. CHILDREN’S LITURGY OF THE WORD

Children’s Liturgy of the Word is available during the 9:30 Mass on October 6, October 20, November 3, November 17, December 1, and December 15.  This is for children from Pre-K through second grade who have not received their First Holy Communion.  Children process out for their instructions in Lynaugh Hall before the Liturgy of the Word and return after the homily.
